Information on specific buildings damaged during the southern Taiwan earthquake is now available on the clearinghouse website. The following is a complete list of 33 buildings damaged in the Tainan area, along with their coordinates, photos and nature of structural damage: NCREE Damaged Building List (Excel File with Chinese and English translation), Original PDF in Chinese. These damaged sites, along with photos, have also been displayed on the EERI Data Map as a data layer. This information was provided to us by Tsung-Chih Chiou from National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE).

We have also posted building damage reports on the Weiguan buildingKings Town Bank, Tachi Market, Shangshang Junior High School, and other buildings contributed by EERI’s young member students from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, on to our website. All information can be accessed on the Reconnaissance Info and Reports page.

We are grateful to all the contributors for their invaluable efforts. If you have information to share, or questions, please contact our Program Manager, Heidi Tremayne at heidi@eeri.org.
