FIELD EQUIPMENT
The following items are recommended by EERI’s Information Technology Committee as most helpful for field investigators conducting earthquake reconnaissance:
hard hat
sturdy walking shoes or steel-toed shoes
digital camera
GPS unit (check out PhotoTrackr Lite)
laptop computer or other tool to keep track of notes/observations (see discussion under Photo Log for how to keep track of observations).
